In A Garden

The weekend of the 19th was the first artisan show I'd done in years. It was a lovely weekend. I met some wonderful and talented artisans and made some great friends. Costumers were very appriciative and I sold well. I couldn't resist taking pictures of the flowers.

If you want to see pictures of the show you can check out Karen's blog.

Spiders

This is Charlot. She lives in my window. I used to be very frightened of spiders but I am living proof that knowledge calms fear with interest. Spiders are so fascinating and beautiful if you take the time to watch them. Their intricate webs are lovely works of art. And Charlot keeps other annoying bugs from coming into my bedroom. We have a mutual respect.

This is Rose. I found her on my roses in the front yard. I've never seen one like her before.

Isn't she beautiful?

Years ago when I was walking through a field full of colorful flowers, I spotted a bumble bee getting pollen from a clump of lovely pink blossoms. As I got closer i realised the bee was upside down in mid air. I couldn't figure how this was possible so I approached closer still. As my eyes focused in on the flower I realise that there was a camouflaged pink spider who'd captured the bee and the bee was quite dead. I jumped back with a chill running up my spine. She was quite large. I still regret I hadn't had a camera with me for that one. I haven't seen one like her again yet.
